The study was done by New York-based Catalyst Inc., a nonprofit research and 
advisory group for women in business. "Not surprisingly, the barriers and demands 
of the high-tech industry are very similar to those of traditional industries," says Ilene 
Lang, president of Catalyst. "What is surprising is that in an industry that thinks of 
itself as a meritocracy, women and men both perceive a lack of acceptance of women."

 EU Funding for Latin America Research

Researchers in Latin America can look forward to better knowledge sharing and intra-regional
